Went to the first of three meetings yesterday on the book Pompeii by Robert Harris.
This meeting was a guided tour of the Cleveland Art Museum’s Last Days of Pompeii exhibit. There are approximately 25 registered participants in this series. The second meeting next Wednesday will be discussion of the book and at the third meeting we will be instructed on designing and building an aqueduct. We were assured that at the end of this series every one of us will be able to go home and build an aqueduct. Right here in Westlake? Now that will keep me busy!
The Museum’s Education Department does 6 of these programs a year, usually in conjunction with a current exhibit. They are open to anyone and registration is for each individual series. Cost to Museum members is $40. For more information or to purchase tickets call (216) 421-7350 or go to www.clevelandart.org.
