Description: Thirtysomething, single Jane [Keri Russell] is obsessed with Mr. Darcy, as played by Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice . On a trip to an English resort, her fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman became more real than she ever imagined.
Whoever wrote that description didn’t see the film. The “English resort” is an all pink and Victorian lace Disneyland run by slapstick bumblers.

Had lunch today with my sweetheart at Pearl of the Orient in Rocky River. When I opened my fortune cookie the message was: “You are free to invent your life.” Guess that is the definition of retirement.

I have been getting a lot of advice on Life after R. Mostly non-solicited. But I went to a luncheon a couple weeks ago where someone told me, “Bill is a baby hugger.” A baby hugger sits in rocking chair at a local hospital pediatric department and holds and talks to babies. That is the first idea that sounds interesting.
But it also reminded me of something I read years ago in the Prologue to the book, Leadership Jazz by Max DePree. Read on to find out why a passage on infant development appeared in a book on leadership.

Only celebrities I saw were cast members present at Q&A of films I saw. At one point paparazzi were taking pictures of someone ahead of us in line but even so, I don’t know for sure who it was – maybe Holly Hunter.
But my 16-year-old granddaughter had her picture taken with 40-some celebrities. To learn how she did that, read on.
